Northborough – Colin Davidson from Northborough will join 7,500 Special Olympics athletes from over 100 different nations in Athens, Greece, for the 2011 World Summer Games from June 25 through July 4. Davidson will be part of the five-member Special Olympics Massachusetts delegation and will represent Team USA in track and field. The World Games gives athletes with intellectual disabilities an opportunity to showcase their talents and forge new friendships with other competitors from around the globe.
Davidson's athletic career with Special Olympics began over 15 years ago. He is an accomplished and decorated athlete in basketball, football, golf, sailing, softball and alpine skiing.
