Northborough – Richard H. Wentzell Jr., 70, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 at Westborough Healthcare Center after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of the late Richard H. Wentzell and the late Ruth (Manchester) Faucher and a 1959 graduate of Northborough High School.
Mr. Wentzell worked for 33 years for the former Winter Hill Frozen Foods Co. in Westborough, retiring in 1996. He later worked for Ritchie Bus Lines of Northborough as a driver for several years. He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 234, in Northborough. He enjoyed life and spending time with his many friends.
He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Allen and her husband Dennis of Plainfield, N.H. and Linda Flanigan and her husband Jay of Northborough; a brother, Jerry Faucher of Northborough; two sisters, Jan Cooley and her fiance Mark Leonard of Brookfield and Carole Ann Dufault and her husband Peter of Sutton; four grandchildren, Christopher Givani, Jeffrey and Ashley Flanigan, and Spencer Allen; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his daughter, Cheryl-Ann (Wentzell) Cosgwell, who passed away in 2008.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Morris Funeral Home, 40 Main St. (Route 30), Southborough. Funeral and burial will be private.
