Region – Grab your friends, family, and co-workers and escape to the Cape with the American Lung Association. The 27th annual Autumn Escape Bike Trek takes off from Plymouth Friday, Sept. 30 and rides along the coast to Provincetown to finish up Sunday, Oct. 2. Trekkers from all over the country and as far as Switzerland have already registered to be a part of this exciting weekend.

People of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to take part in this “at-your-own-pace” adventure – children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Enjoy all of the breathtaking sights Cape Cod has to offer from the seat of your bicycle. Experience camaraderie and a sense of pride and accomplishment like you never have before. Teams who raise more than $5,000 will be invited to host their own tent on Saturday night at Team Tent City, which can be customized to show their team spirit.

In addition to the three-day, 160-mile route, the Autumn Escape Bike Trek offers a two-day, 105-mile option as well. Along the way medical and technical support will be provided, together with overnight accommodations, food, entertainment, and of course fun.

The fund-raising minimum is $500 ($400 for participants under the age of 18), but raise $1,000 or more and become a part of the prestigious Winner's Circle. Autumn Escape cycling jerseys are given to all who qualify. All proceeds benefit lung disease research, advocacy, programs and clean air initiatives right here in your community.
