Edward Frissora Jr., 56Worcester – Edward “Ed” Frissora Jr., 56, formerly of Shrewsbury, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011 with his loving family by his side.

He leaves his wife and best friend of 36 years, Annette M. (Saulnier) Frissora; two daughters, Melissa M. Lamberton and her husband Brad of Holden and Kristi Frissora and her husband Chris Boudreau of Holden; a brother, Robert J. Frissora of Shrewsbury; three sisters, Cynthia Frissora-Murray of Buford, Ga., Robin A. Grout of Shrewsbury and Linda J. Gosselin of Millbury; three beautiful grandchildren, Natalie, Kallie and Cole; his lifetime friend, Fred Battista; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Steven M. Frissora.

Born in Worcester and raised in Shrewsbury, he was a son of the late Edward and Helen P. (Webberly) Frissora. He graduated from Shrewsbury High School.

Mr. Frissora worked many years in the automotive repair industry. He was recognized and published in several auto magazines for his expertise in time management of detailed motor repair and was also board certified in steam engine cleaning repair. He last worked for General Automotive before he took an early retirement to care for his aging parents.

Known to all as a true family man, he took great pride in his home and was very proud of his wife, children and grandchildren for all of their accomplishments. He enjoyed restoring antique and muscles cars throughout the years. He served as a historian and collector of World War II memorabilia for his family. He also found time to do volunteer work for the Jacob Hiatt School in Worcester.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Frissora family Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 4 to 8 p.m., in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. The funeral will be from the funeral home Thursday, Nov. 17 with a funeral Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 37 Massasoit Rd., Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery of Worcester.
