Shrewsbury – Vincent Borbone, of Shrewsbury, died Thursday, May 17, 2012 at the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence with his family gathered by his side. He was 78.
Born in Worcester on December 11, 1933, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Vincenza (Vitelli) Borbone and was a graduate of the former Commerce High School and Worcester Junior College. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged.
He worked in sales for various office supply companies throughout Worcester.
In addition to his wife of 49 years, Patricia L. (Molinari) Borbone, he leaves his children, Vincent Borbone and his wife, Samantha, of Sandown, New Hampshire, and Myra Suraci and her husband, Stephen, of Newton, New Hampshire; his grandchildren, Nicola and Anthony Borbone and Natalia and Edward Suraci; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Sarah Ann Quaranta, Louise Marie Vacca, and Joseph Borbone.
Vincent's family and friends will gather to honor, remember and celebrate his life privately. Burial with military honors will be in St. John's Cemetery. Heald & Chiampa Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
