Westborough – Dorothy “Dot” Marinelli, 82, of Westborough, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Dante C. Marinelli, to whom she was married for 50 years.
Born in Framingham, she was the daughter of the late Egidio and Desolina (Brandini) Diatalevi, and was educated in Framingham schools.
Mrs. Marinelli was employed as the financial manager for the family-owned Village Realty Trust Company in Framingham. She was a communicant of St. Luke the Evangelist Church, enjoyed wintering in Naples, Fla., and playing golf. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Michelle M. Marinelli of Westborough; one son, Dante M. “Dan” Marinelli and his wife, Carolyn, of Worcester; a sister, Thelma Persico of Hudson; and four grandchildren, Stephanie, Mark, Max and Dante. She was the sister of the late John Diatalevi.
Her funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, July 23, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough. Burial in St. Luke's Cemetery will be private. The Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
