Marlborough – Henrietta A. (Ryngiewicz) Durand, 87, of Marlborough, died Friday, March 6, 2015 at Marlborough Hills Healthcare Center. Her first husband, Dominic Galloni, died in 1959. She was the wife of the late Alfred Durand, who died in 1977.
She was born, raised, and educated in Central Falls, R.I., the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Ryngiewicz. She was a LPN and worked for many years at Pleasant View Nursing Home retiring in 1978.
Henrietta was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed reading, classic American movies, and spending time with her family and pets.
She leaves her son, Andrew Galloni of Marlborough, and her daughter, Karen Kalagher and her husband Joe of Ashburnham; two stepsons, David Durand and his wife Christine of Berlin and Jeff Durand of Grafton; a grandson, Matthew, and a granddaughter, Pamela; and four great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Charles Regan, William Ryngiewicz, and Stasia Barlow.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 11, at 11 a.m., in Immaculate Conception Church, Prospect Street. Calling hours will be held prior to the funeral from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Fitzgerald & Collins Funeral Home, 378 Lincoln St., Marlborough. Burial will be held in Evergreen Cemetery following the Mass.
