Algonquin baseball opens season with a win

    Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks baseball team defeated the Quabbin Regional High School Panthers by a score of 7-0 in its season opener. The game was played April 2 on the artificial turf fields at the New England Baseball Complex.

    Ryan Solomon had 2 hits and 3 RBIs on the night, including a two-run triple in the first inning. Ross Grasso singled in all four of his at-bats. Pitcher Connor Henderson threw six shutout innings for the win.
