Northborough: Free concerts kick off July 9

Northborough – The Northborough Community Affairs Committee announced the return of its free Summer Concert Series for 2015. All concerts will be held on Thursdays at Ellsworth-McAfee Park (Rt. 135) in Northborough from 6 – 8 p.m. The schedule features:

July 9: Beatles for Sale (Rain date: Sunday, July 12, 5 – 7 p.m.)

Beatles for Sale is an award-winning, New England-based Beatles tribute band that is committed to recreating the sounds of the Beatles live in concert. The Dogfather Hot Dog Truck will be selling hot dogs, and Yummy Mummy Brownies will be selling baked goods.

July 23: Eclipse (Rain date: Sunday, July 26, 5 – 7 p.m.)

Eclipse is a Boston based band that covers everything from Pink Floyd and Paul Simon to Jason Aldean and Stone Temple Pilots, the Killers to U2, Kiss and Gin Blossoms. The Knights of Columbus (St. Augustine Council) will have a cookout, and Yummy Mummy Brownies will be selling baked goods.

Aug. 6: Throwback to the ‘60s (Rain date: Sunday, Aug. 9, 5 – 7 p.m.)

A professional ‘60s tribute band will play favorites from the decade. Northborough House of Pizza will be selling slices and subs, and Yummy Mummy Brownies will be selling baked goods.

Aug. 20 – Bad Reputation (Rain date: Sunday, Aug. 23, 5 – 7 p.m.)

Bad Reputation is a high energy rock band that plays everything from ‘80s rock to songs of today. Northborough House of Pizza will be selling slices and subs, and Yummy Mummy Brownies will be selling baked goods.
