Grafton – The Grafton High School Indians football team defeated the Holy Name Naps by 28-16 to win the Central Mass. Division 4 football championship. The game was played Nov. 14 at Doyle Field in Leominster.

With Grafton leading 22-16 late in the fourth quarter and Holy Name threatening to tie the game, Devin Senya recovered a fumble on the goal line and returned it 100 yards to seal the victory for Grafton.

In addition to Senya’s remarkable touchdown run, Matt O’Brien scored two touchdowns for Grafton and Ifeatu Melifonwu scored once.

Grafton advances to play the Western Mass. champion, Chicopee Comprehensive, in the state semi-final round.
