Obit Mary L FletcherWestborough – Mary L. (Kelly) Fletcher, 85, passed away Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 following an illness. Her husband, James E. Fletcher, passed away in 1975.

Mary is survived by her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Laverty; stepson James Fletcher; cousin Marguerite Laverty; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Her son, Harry Fletcher, predeceased her.

Mary was born Sept. 11, 1930 in Boston, daughter of the late Melena (Sullivan) and William Kelly. Her family settled in Grafton before moving to Westborough, where she spent most of her life, having lived there for more than 50 years.

Mary worked as an RN Supervisor at the Grafton and Westborough State hospitals, retired in 1988. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Westborough, where she devoted her time to several ministries, including elderly advisor for the parish.

All are invited to gather with Mary’s family and friends Tuesday, Dec. 22, from 9:00-10:00 a.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton, followed by the celebration of her funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 70 West Main St., Westborough, MA 01581. She will then be laid to rest at St. Phillip’s Cemetery in Grafton.
