Obit Claire B DavisLeominster – Claire P. (Juaire) Davis, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2016.

Claire is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul V. Davis, and her children, Diane Ferro and husband Steven, Thomas Davis and wife Marianne, Ralph Davis and wife Katie, all of Hudson, and Susan Sullivan of Leominster. She also leaves her brother, Leo Juaire and wife Shirley of Meriden, Conn.; her grandchildren, Christina and Alexander Ferro, Linette and Erica Davis, and Eric, Kayla, Rachel, Michael, and Allison Davis; and a great-grandson, Nicholas Chaveiro. She was predeceased by her brother, Roger Juaire, and sister, Sr. Irene Juaire.

Claire was born and raised in Marlborough, the daughter of Francis and Eva (Perron) Juaire. She graduated from St. Anne’s Academy, Marlborough, class of 1953. She and her husband made their home in Hudson, and had lately moved to Leominster.

Over the years, she worked at the Sears catalog store and The Lance Corporation in Hudson, and retired from Digital Equipment Corporation in the early 1990s. Following her retirement, she and her husband owned and operated The Westborough Inn, where her gift of welcoming hospitality shone. She enjoyed volunteering as a receptionist at the Hudson Senior Center until last year. She was a faithful caretaker of her husband until her recent illness.

Claire was known for her love of others, devotion to her family, and her sense of humor.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 26, a 9 a.m., in St. Michael’s Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial services will follow at Forestvale Cemetery in Hudson. Family and Friends may visit with the family Monday, Jan. 25, from 3-7 p.m., at Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson (www.tighehamilton.com).
