Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks boys’ basketball team fell to the Wachusett Regional High School Mountaineers by a score of 60-52 in a game played on February 22.

The score was close throughout the entire game. Algonquin trailed 47-40 at halftime and pulled within 4 points with just 4 minutes left in the game, but was unable to catch up as the clock wound down. Kyle Henderson was Algonquin’s top scorer with 15 points. Gavin Boyden added 14 and Dylan Lien added 11. Wachusett’s Tyler Dion was the game’s top scorer with 25 points.

As this was the last home game of the season for Algonquin, the seniors were honored before the start of the game. The 7 seniors on this year’s team are Dylan Stetkiewicz, Gavin Boyden, Kaio Menezes, Joe Wallace, Jason Truax, Jake Clark and Matt Geoffrion.

Wachusett’s record improves to 14-6 on the season, while Algonquin falls to 8-11.
