Two Westborough residents die in New Hampshire accident

    Third man expected to surviveĀ 

    Westborough – The Union Leader newspaper, based in Manchester, N.H., is reporting that two Westborough residents are dead after falling through the ice on Lake Winnipesaukee Feb. 11.

    The paper reported that Mark O’Connell, who turned 62 years old Saturday, and David Corsier, 67, were on snowmobiles that fell through the ice.

    Steven Weiss, 65, of Westborough, also fell through the ice but was rescued and is expected to survive.

    The three men were on separate snowmobiles near Moultonborough and ran off the ice shelf into open waters, according to authorities.

    N.H. Gov. Chris Sununu told reporters that there had been multiple accidents recently throughout the state, including another one at the lake where a teenage boy drowned. New Hampshire involving snowmobiles and sleds.
