Marlborough – A wine and cheese tasting to benefit the Giselle Rodriguez Scholarship will be held Thursday, June 29, from 5-7 p.m. at The Vin Bin, 91 Main St., Marlborough. Tickets are $10. Tickets can be purchased for $10 in advance by contacting Brenda Geary ([email protected]) or Joyce Bourgeois ([email protected]); Josefina Rivera at the Lincoln Mini Market, 534 Lincoln St.; Susanne Morreale-Leeber at the Chamber of Commerce, 11 Florence St.; or at the door the evening of the event.
All items in The Vin Bin are available for purchase – wine, beer, liquor, sandwiches, cheese and snacks. The scholarship fund will receive 10 percent of the proceeds from all purchases that night.
The Giselle Rodriquez Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a female Marlborough High School graduating senior who embodies the ideals exhibited by Giselle, which are academic achievement, persistence in the face of adversity, generosity and commitment to community. The 2017 scholarship recipients were Clarie Cargill and Ana Barretto.
