To the Editor:
We appreciate everyone who joined us on the Grafton Common June 13 for our fifth annual Community Ice Cream Social to celebrate the beginning of summer. Families enjoyed delicious bowls of ice cream, mingled with friends and met new ones. Children had fun jumping in the two bounce houses.
A big thank you to our sponsors: Blackstone Valley Event Rentals, Homefield Credit Union and Swirls & Scoops for their generosity. Thanks to The Congregational Church of Grafton for the use of their freezers.
Despite the overcast skies, volunteers and staff served more than 200 bowls of ice cream. All proceeds benefit Apple Tree Arts, a nonprofit community school of the arts’ programs.
We’re looking forward to a great summer filled with early childhood music classes, private voice and instrument lessons, theatre arts programs and performances. Thanks again to the community for your continued support.
