Shrewsbury – If it’s November it’s time for the Shrewsbury Education Foundation’s (SEF) Annual Trivia Night.  This year’s event was held Nov.10 at Maironis Park.

Twenty-one teams assembled for a casual evening of cocktails, pizza, trivia and fun. Some came in costume which added to the festivities. Team SSMA (Shrewsbury Schools Music/Theater Association) members Bjorn Bakken, Mark Adler, Brian Yankee and Jeff Fuller went home with winning trophies.

Although there was no formal program apart from the trivia, which was masterfully emceed by local radio personality Hank Stolz, SEF Board co-president Mary Aicard, thanked many of the organizations and sponsors who included Robert “Chief Joseph” Terkanian and Whole Foods Market at the Blue & Gold level. The Hannah Kane Charitable Foundation, Lamoureux Pagano & Associates and Grossman Development Group were Silver Sponsors.

“SEF had another great Trivia night. We had more than 20 teams who came together for a night of fun and fundraising for teacher grants.  Thanks go to Maironis Park, Savour the Thyme Catering and our host, Hank Stolz,” Aicardi stated.

The SEF is an all-volunteer organization that raises funds for granting opportunities to educators in the Shrewsbury public school system, providing resources and programs directly into classrooms. For more information visit: www.SEFgrants.org.
