Westborough – Country music superstar John Rich will be at Julio’s Liquors on Saturday, Nov. 23, from 3-5 p.m. for a tasting and bottle signing of his signature whiskey, Redneck Riviera.
Shoppers are also invited to bring in a canned good to the event that will be donated to Holiday Harvest, a Thanksgiving distribution initiative organized by Veterans Inc., according to Ryan Maloney, Julio’s owner. In return, they will receive a $4 gift card to Julio’s.
“We are very excited to have Mr. Rich here at Julio’s Liquors,” Maloney said. “We have always been very supportive of our local veterans’ organizations. So we were extremely happy that we were able to incorporate more ways to help vets and their families with this event.”
Julio’s Liquors will also donate a $1 from the sale of each bottle of Redneck Riviera to Folds of Honor, a veterans’ charity that Rich supports. The nonprofit organization provides funds for educational scholarships for spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.
Holiday Harvest aims to provide all the fixings for about 500 veterans in need and their families to prepare a Thanksgiving meal, according to Erin Stelmach, a media representative for Veterans Inc. Items requested include boxed stuffing, canned gravy, canned cranberry sauce and canned vegetables.
“This collection at Julio’s in conjunction with Mr. Rich’s appearance will help make our event possible,” she added.

Rich and his musical partner, Big Kenny, formed Big & Rich in 2007. Their three albums include 10 singles, including the number one hit, “Lost in This Moment.” Rich formerly was a member of the popular group Lonestar and has written hits songs for numerous artists including Faith Hill, Jason Aldean and Taylor Swift.
The whiskey is part of Rich’s brand, which includes apparel, boots, and his Nashville bar, Redneck Riviera.
