Worcester – On Thursday February 24, 2022, Margery Crouse, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at the age of 67. Margery was born on May 14, 1954 in Worcester, MA to Ralph and Doris Metcalf. She was raised in Northborough, MA and graduated from Algonquin High School.
Margery was predeceased by two husbands, Ronald Beeso with whom she had a daughter Jennifer, and Charles Crouse with whom she had a son, Andrew, and a daughter Annie. She spent many of her final years as a single mother working nights to support herself and her children.
From a very early age Margery displayed an innate attachment to animals, finding their company simple and peaceful. Instead of getting her driver’s license like most of her teenage peers, Margery opted for a horse instead of a car. Later in life she was known for never turning down an animal in need, at one point populating her Worcester home with 3 dogs, 12 cats, 2 cockatiels, a ferret, and 3 children.
Margery is survived by her 3 children (Jennifer, Andrew and Annie) and 4 grandchildren (Maris, Ronan, Lilith and Isabelle).
There will be a small service for family members only at a later date.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to Central New England Equine Rescue.
