West Boylston – Elizabeth “Betty” Ann (Cummins) O’Leary 79 of W. Boylston and formerly of Marlborough died on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Northborough surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Cambridge, MA, the daughter of the late James A. and Marie B. (Janulewicz) Cummins.
She worked as a schoolteacher for over 29 years at Shrewsbury Middle School before retiring in 1998.
Betty loved playing slot machines, McDonald’s coffee, and horses; but her biggest passion was her family.
Betty is survived by her 2 children, Donald S. O’Leary III of W. Boylston, Barbara “Ara” A. O’Leary and her fiancé, Michael Roberts of GA, 6 grandchildren, Donny IV and his wife Raleigh, Joseph and his wife Heidi, Kayley, Olivia, James and Cheyenne, 1 great grandson, Ace, her sister, Marie Hughes of Framingham, several cousins, and close Family Friends Larry Blanchette of Lancaster, and Isa Nelson and Karen Busa of Marlborough. She was predeceased by 2 children, Mary-Beth and Jimmy in 1985.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 4-6 p.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 20, at 11 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.
