Grafton – Gail (Russek) Malboeuf, 87, passed away February 20, 2023 at UMass Memorial in Worcester following an illness.
She leaves her husband of 65 years, Donald Malboeuf, her children Scott Malboeuf and his wife Deborah, Stephen Malbouef and his wife Patti and Sally (Malboeuf) Hogan and Billy Gray, her grandchildren Nicole, Danielle, Kayla, Jesse, Brett, Ben, Cameron and Mackenzie and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Nancy Welcome.
Gail was born August 10, 1935 in Worcester and her roots were in Shrewsbury. She and her husband Don were residents in Grafton for nearly 50 years and also spent time after retirement in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Gail was a Registered Nurse by trade having spent many years at Memorial Hospital in Worcester and then Keith Hill Nursing Home in Grafton.
Away from work she and Don traveled often together to Aruba, Bermuda, Hawaii and on the occasional cruise as well. She also was an avid reader throughout her life. Gail was a beloved “Grammy” to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and leaves many adoring friends in Grafton as well.
Services and burial for Gail will be private at her family’s request.
