Theresa L. GauthierHubbardston/Shrewsbury – Theresa L. (Plamondon) Gauthier, 94, passed peacefully on February 24, 2023. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Kenneth P. Gauthier.

She leaves her son Kenneth Gauthier II and his wife Pat of Port Charlotte, Florida, and her daughter Jeanine K. Fitzgerald and her husband Todd of Hubbardston, five grandchildren, Benjamin and Casey Gauthier, Erin Fournier, Brett and Corey Fitzgerald. She was blessed in her later years with seven great grandchildren, Jacob, Kendall, Kerrie, Kyla, Charlotte, Luke and Fiona. Theresa was born on September 16, 1928 in Webster, the daughter of the late Arthur and Bertha (Lamoureux) Plamondon, and was the last surviving of their 9 children. Her sisters were Doris Victor, Lucille Beaudoin, Rita Ambrose, Gertrude LeBlanc, and Loretta Wheat. Her brothers were Arthur, Joseph and Bernard Plamondon.

Theresa lived many years in Shrewsbury before moving to Hubbardston.

Theresa was committed to her family, first and foremost. Her passions were babysitting and traveling with her grandkids, and great grandchildren, and she did so until the age of 90. She was an avid fan at the sporting events of her grandkids, whether hockey, soccer or gymnastics, and continued with the next generation. She had many friends through her tennis and bowling leagues, and enjoyed downhill skiing. She spent many hours tending to her flower gardens and walking the beaches of Maine and Florida, collecting sea glass, sand dollars and shells.

A woman with lots of love to share, she touched the lives of many. Her legacy will not be what she left to her family and friends, but what she left within each of them. Many have memories of meals she cooked, and items baked, sewed, crocheted, knit or quilted, and the time she spent reading to, playing games or cards with, or listening to those she loved.

All are invited to the celebration of a Funeral Mass for Theresa on Saturday, March 4 at 11 am in St. Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Turnpike in Shrewsbury. There are no calling hours, however the family will have a reception line for Theresa, starting at 10 am, upon entering the church for the Mass.

Memorial donations are suggested in lieu of flowers to St. Jude’s Hospital, PO Box 3704, Memphis, TN 38103.
