RoseAnn HannanHudson – RoseAnn Hannan, 76, of Hudson, MA, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Rosie was born January 21, 1947, in Albany, New York, the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Rose Mary (Fisher) Hannan.

After graduating from Hudson Valley community college dental hygiene program. She worked as a Dental Hygienist for many years, initially in the school system of the Chazy/Lyon Mountain area in Plattsburg NY, then Albany NY and then with Periodontal Associates of Framingham until her retirement from the dental field. After that she continued to work as a bookkeeper at the Framingham Animal Hospital. An acquaintance who grew up in the Chazy/Lyon area tells of his male classmates faking tooth problems so they could go visit “Miss Hannan,” the dental hygienist, because they all had the hots for her.

She was devoted to family, friends and animals, especially English Labs. She was known for her strength and sense of humor and spontaneity.

As an avid golfer and member of the Marlboro Country Club, she made a hole in one on the 18th hole—a big accomplishment for a woman golfer. She loved Higgins Lake in Michigan, golfing, bicycling, Marco Island, pedal kayaking. She was renowned as a master of the grill.

Rosie is survived by her decades long friend, partner in crime and housemate, Susan “Perce” Rabaut of Hudson, her other housemate Marsha Hayward, former housemate Diana Drew, 2 brothers, Kirby Hannan (Patricia) of Albany, NY, Paul Hannan (Cornelia Carey) of Calais, VT, niece, Addie, 3 nephews, Cedar, Blake, Ross, two great nieces and her fur babies, Jetty, Maizie, Finn and Harley, along with numerous beloved extended families and friends.

Rosie was predeceased by her nephew Jack Hannan of Mt. Currie, B.C.

She was a longtime parishioner at St Michaels Parish in Hudson. A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on October 20th at St Michaels’ Church at 10 a.m. in Hudson, MA. with visitation starting at 9:30 am in the Church. Burial will be at a later date.
