John P. DeLuca, 61 , formerly of Westborough

250

John P. DeLucaFranklin – On Saturday, October 14th, 2023, John passed peacefully after a  three-month battle from surgical complications.

Born on May 18th, 1962 to John DeLuca and Marie DeLuca (Schoendorff) in Rosieres-En-Haye, Lorraine, France, John was able to see and live in many places where his parents were blessed with work opportunities: Corning, NY; Phoenix, AZ; Old Agoura, CA; Easton, MA; Centerdale (North Providence) RI; Westborough, MA; Worcester, MA; and has lived in Franklin, MA for the past 24 years.

He was employed at Infinidat.  Prior work places were Dell/EMC and Cognex.  His work was part of his DNA, and always committed himself to working to the best of his abilities and it gave him great pride to do every job and task well – with a tireless commitment to his clients and friends.

John’s passions were many: he enjoyed building and operating robots;  using his ham radio; making jewelry; photography; loving his fur babies unconditionally and with all his heart.  He was a gifted engineer and marketing professional; devoted son; brother; husband and friend.  He gave everyone his best.  His quick-witted and dry humor was both intelligent and sincerely funny – never making anyone uncomfortable, and always warmly engaging.

He leaves his heartbroken and loving wife of 27-plus years – MaryJane (Battelle) DeLuca of Franklin, MA; his father John DeLuca and his wife Carol of Palm Dessert, CA; his mother Marie DeLuca of Natick, MA; his caring and devoted sister – Sandy DeLuca of Natick, MA.

John will be sadly missed by many others – including his brother and sister in-law, Bill & Cathy Battelle of Leicester, MA; his best friend Roy Jerman and his wife, Shine of Taunton, MA.; his many colleagues and friends.

In John’s memory please remember that kindness matters.

As was John’s wishes, there will be no calling hours nor formal services.

The Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel of Worcester assisted.
