Gary B. FlemingGrafton – Gary B. Fleming, 78, passed away October 31, 2023 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester following a sudden illness.

He leaves his daughter Shannon Billington and her husband Charles, his grandchildren Blake and Brent Dickman, his great-grandchildren Amelia and Bonnie, his sister Gail Gallick and her husband Kenneth and niece Jill Burns and her husband Matt and great-nephews Luke and Jake. Gary also leaves his beloved dog “Bear” who never left his side along with his best friends Eddie “Felix” Saucier and Ernie Johnstone.

Gary was born December 11, 1944 in Worcester and was a life-long resident of Grafton. By trade he was a Licensed Electrician who spent his career working at Coughlin Electrical, Sterling Municipal ending his electrical career as Electrical Inspector for the City of Worcester for 13 years before his retirement in 2013.

Away from work you could always find Gary with his dog “Bear”, he had a natural ease in fixing anything that was broken and was known to tinker around his home and garden, often outdoors where he was happiest. In years prior he also ventured to the woods on hunting trips or to Race Point deep sea fishing when he could. A simple man, he lived according to axioms like “eat as the garden grows” and “your mind controls the body”.

All are welcome to gather with Gary’s family and friends Sunday November 5th from 2pm to 5pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536. A graveside service will be held Monday November 6th at 11:00am at Pine Grove Cemetery on Waterville St. in North Grafton.
