Man charged with assault after incident at Southborough Dunkin’ Donuts

The Southborough police have charged Paul Smith, of Southborough, with assault and battery and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 years of age and older following an incident at Dunkin’ Donuts.

SOUTHBOROUGH – A Southborough resident was arrested and charged with assault following an incident at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 162 Cordaville Road.

On Sunday, Nov. 19, at around 1:42 p.m., Southborough police responded to a report that a female employee at Dunkin’ Donuts was allegedly accosted by a male customer. When officers arrived, the employee told police she was inappropriately “grabbed” by the customer, according to a press release from the police department.

After an investigation, including a check of surveillance footage, the customer, identified as Paul Smith, was located and placed under arrest.

Smith was charged with assault and battery and indecent assault and battery on a person 14 years of age and older.
