Joan A. TrottierGrafton – Joan A. Trottier, 88 of Grafton, MA, passed away on December 15th after a long, fulfilling life.

Joan began her career at Woolworths in Worcester where, after a playful glance at the soda fountain, she met her husband, Milton. She also worked at the former Paul Revere Insurance Company and The Big Discount Supermarket.

In her spare time, Joan was an avid gardener who loved to watch her flowers flourish every spring and a strong supporter of the Boston Red Sox.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Milton J. Trottier; her 3 children, Joan C. Trottier and her husband Richard Walendziak of Portsmouth, RI; Glen Trottier of Grafton, MA; and Nancy Trottier-Martin and her husband Michael Martin of Millbury, MA. She was the proud grandmother of Ross Walendziak, Ali Sisson and her husband Brandon, Shannon Martin and her fiancée Jim Dieser, and Daniel Martin. She was the great-grandmother of Miles Sisson. Joan is also survived by her sister Carol Lamusta and her husband Richard Lamusta of Lynnfield, MA. Her brothers Edwin and Richard Hibbard predeceased her. Her cat Teddy was a special part of her life, as she loved all animals.

The family would like to thank Joan’s primary care physician, Dr. Dimitry Levenson, and his staff. They would also like to thank the healthcare providers and support staff on 34 North at St. Vincent’s Hospital who skillfully and compassionately cared for her during her final hospital stay.

A private graveside service will be held at a future date.
