In Loving Memory of Robert J. Albertine

Berlin – Robert J. Albertine, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family on April 9, 2024. He now rests beside his cherished wife of 62 years, Gail E. (Reardon) Albertine.

Bob was a lifelong resident of Marlborough, MA until he relocated to Berlin, MA with his daughter Kristie and her husband Jim in 2019. Bob graduated from Marlborough High School and furthered his education at Wentworth University in Boston, Massachusetts. Throughout his career, he worked as a Principal Hardware Engineer at Sylvania, Honeywell, and Digital Equipment Corporation until his retirement. Additionally, Bob proudly served in the Massachusetts National Guard.

Bob found immense joy in warm weather, often embodying the role of a “snowbird” alongside Gail, traveling to Florida to bask in the sunshine and reside on Cocoa Beach, where he could be found reading for hours on his deck overlooking the beautiful ocean. Many of his fondest memories were created during these times spent at the Cocoa Beach condominium and at Disney World with his cherished family. Bob had a passion for puzzles, home improvement, and architectural projects, showcasing his meticulous attention to detail.

Bob’s happy demeanor and quick wit will be missed by his family and friends, but his loving memory will live on forever in their hearts.

Bob leaves behind two devoted daughters, Kimberly Coffey and her husband Kevin of Hopedale, MA., and Kristie Wagner and her husband Jim of Berlin, MA. He was the proud and beloved grandfather of Ryan Coffey of Marlborough, MA and Brendan Coffey of Hopedale, MA. He is also preceded in death by his Sister Albina Trakimas and his brother Henry Albertine.
