John was born in Bridgeport, CT on January 31, 1958, to the late Louise and John H. Vautier Sr. He began his professional truck driving career as a young man just out of high school. He worked for many moving companies over the years including North American Van Lines, Mayflower Van Lines and United Van Lines. Up until recently he worked for Gallo Moving Company of Milford, MA. Altogether, John drove 18 wheelers long distance spanning 45 years and 5 million miles.

Over the course of his career, John received over 18 safe driving awards. In 2009, he was honored as the super van operator of the year, a national recognition of which he was very proud.

John was a very hard worker and a very generous man. He was also very devoted to his family. He especially loved all holidays and family gatherings. He appreciated Mary’s home cooked meals and even willingly shopped at Market Basket to help with the groceries.

John was an avid New England Sports fan, especially of the Patriots. He enjoyed traveling with Mary for pleasure when time allowed, especially to Hawaii, Nashville and to many Florida beaches.

John’s entire family will miss him dearly and take comfort knowing that he and Corey will be reunited in heaven.
