Shrewsbury – The Artist Guild of Shrewsbury will hold its first annual Art Festival Saturday Aug. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Dean Park.
Robert Duffy will lead painting demonstrations at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., with John Gaston giving watercolor painting demonstrations all day. Local artists, student artists and guild members will exhibit their work and offer it for sale, and there will also be face painting, finger painting and cupcake decorating for the kids. Original art by Mark Waitkus and others will be raffled.
The event is supported in part with a grant from the Shrewsbury Cultural Council and Massachusetts Cultural Council.
