Richard T. Nugent, 83Marlborough – Richard T. Nugent, 83, formerly of Watertown, died Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2011, at the Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Eleanor A. (Teeven) Nugent.

Born in Arlington, he was employeed by the New England Telephone Company as an engineer. Following his retirement he worked for the Bank of Boston for many years.

He was the devoted father of Richard K. Nugent and his wife Roberta of Framingham; Cheryl A. Griffith and her husband Ted of Franklin, Tenn.; Joan M. Leary and her husband Brian of Framingham; and Nancy E. Dickie and her husband Kevin of Medway. He was also the loving grandfather of Ryan, Matt and Cam Leary; Jacqueline, Danielle and Michael Nugent; Katherine and Caroline Dickie; and Kerri-Ann and Lauryn Griffith. He was the brother of Rev. Kevin Nugent and Edward Nugent of Maryland, and the late Leo, Charles and Joseph Nugent.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6, at 8 a.m., from the Stanton Funeral Home, 786 Mt. Auburn St. (Route 16), Watertown, with a funeral Mass celebrated at 9 a.m. in the Church of St. Luke, 132 Lexington St., Belmont. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be Monday, Sept. 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
