Exercising goodwill with ‘Turkey Trot’
Northborough – Third-graders break for a photo after participating in the third annual Turkey Trot, held Nov. 7 through 10 at Proctor Elementary School. Family members were invited to join students in kindergarten through fifth grade as they walked, jogged or danced laps around the gym during physical education classes. Everyone was encouraged to bring nonperishable goods to be donated to the Northborough Food Pantry. This year participants totaled 425 miles and collected 526 food items. The event is organized by school nurse Diane Gage, RN (back, left), and physical education teacher Andy Wilson (back, right).
