Shrewsbury – A 19-year-old Upton man was killed last night in an accident at the Ski Ward venue.
According to the Worcester County District Attorney's office, the teen, a student at Nipmuc Regional High School, was at the venue with the school's ski team. He was on a ski lift when he fell nearly 30 feet to the ground and hit his head. He was rushed to UMass Medical Center- University Campus in Worcester where he died.
The teen's name has not yet been released.
Shrewsbury Police, along with the District Attorney's office are investigating whether the victim had a pre-existing medical condition that caused him to fall.
