To the Editor:
On behalf of the men and women of the Shrewsbury Police Department I would like to say thank you to the Shrewsbury community for approving the construction of a new Public Safety building and radio system.
The new facility once completed, will have a modem dispatch center and radio system that meets the current standards for emergency communication centers. It will also have a modem training and education facility to better train, equip and prepare our officers to respond as a 21st century department. The new facility will allow for better interaction with the public and include spaces for the public to use to enhance the department’s community policing philosophy. It will support the department’s vision to be fully engaged with our community to co-produce public safety that reduces crime and improves quality of life.
I am very proud of the Shrewsbury Police Department and the work they do to provide you with the best professional law enforcement services possible. It gives me great pride to write this letter and express how grateful and appreciative we are to serve such a supportive community. On behalf of the entire department I extend our heartfelt thank you.
