Albert A. CardinSouth Grafton – Albert A. Cardin, 93, passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2021. His wife of 59 years, Victoria (Podsiadlo) Cardin, passed away in 2012.

Albert leaves his children Laurie Cardin, with whom he lived, Cynthia Cardin, Patricia Mathieu, William Cardin, Michael Cardin, and Joseph Cardin; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, who will dearly miss their beloved “Grampie,” and he was predeceased by his siblings, Francis, Walter, Alfred and Robert Cardin and Evelyn Witofsky, Mabel Hanley and Doris Vaillancourt.

Albert was born on March 24, 1928 in Worcester, son of the late Margaret P. (Sampson) and Alfred Cardin. He grew up in and was a lifelong resident of South Grafton.

Always hard working he was an employee at High Carbon in Millbury, a custodian at Grafton Public Schools and then at the Municipal Recycling facility in Grafton prior to his retirement. He was also a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.

Away from work family was always first for Albert. During the summer he was happy sitting along the shoreline of the Cape Cod Canal watching the boats pass by and he took many memorable trips to Myrtle Beach, S.C., as well.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Albert with a donation to VNA Care Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, MA 01608 or online at www.vnacare.org/donors.
