REGION – Local firefighters faced a complex scene Thursday as they responded to a series of “vehicle and structure fires” all on Fifth Avenue in Shrewsbury.
Two cars and a boat went up in flames. Fire also damaged the side of a house according to a social media post by the Shrewsbury Fire Department.
Photos included with the post showed major damage to both cars in particular.
“The house and boat sustained minimal amount of damage due to a quick knock down by the Engine 2 fire crew,” the Shrewsbury Fire Department said in its post.
Fifth Avenue splits off North Quinsigamond Avenue in town near Lake Quinsigamond itself.
The Northborough and Westborough Fire Departments provided mutual aid support in response to this incident according to the Shrewsbury Fire Department.
