Stow – The fourth-seed Marlborough High School Panthers visited the top-seed Nashoba Regional High School Chieftans for the MIAA Football Division 2 semi-final Nov. 6.
The Panthers struck first, on a 33-yard run by Owen Cappadona (Sam Dias extra point kick) to take a 7-0 lead. Nashoba tied it up on a 4-yard run by Jake Benjamin (Matt Allaire extra point kick).
The Chieftans’ Egan Bachtell put the only points on the board in the second quarter with an 11-yard run (Matt Allaire extra point kick) to take a 14-7 lead at the half.
Nashoba scored two more times in the third quarter and while Marlborough’s Luke Goulet scored on a 3-yard run (Sam Dias extra point kick) it wasn’t enough as Nashoba won 28-14.
