Marlborough – Over 1,200 guests supported the 26th annual Evening of Giving, held Dec. 3 at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel. They sampled offerings from 29 eateries, then treated themselves to make-your-own-sundaes from Trombetta’s Farm.
Chef Leon Roberge returned for his 26th year with his popular shrimp and raw bar, adorned with his ice sculpture. Once again, Bob Kays served as event chair with Ivette Mesmar coordinating the food.
Proceeds go to Roland’s House, the Marlborough-Hudson homeless shelter. In the event’s first 25 years, Evening of Giving raised over $750,000 to support the operation of this community resource.
Guests were encouraged to bring personal items such as socks and toiletries to be donated to Roland’s House. For the second year, items were also collected for the Willis House, a family shelter in Hudson.
