Westborough – Ever since Westborough State Hospital closed in 2010, there's been lots of speculation about would happen next to the 108-acre complex. Westborough officials, as well as many residents, are leery about future development at the site, as they cite concerns about additional stress on the schools, public infrastructure and the town's open space. The one thing everyone can agree on – and that state officials, who are overseeing the project, continue to stress – is that this is only the beginning of what will be a much longer discussion before any final decisions are made.
