Marlborough chamber to celebrate 90th anniversary Gatsby style

Marlborough – Preparations are underway for what could be the area's most unique social event of nine decades: the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce's (MRCC) 90th Anniversary Gatsby Gala to be celebrated Friday, May 2, 7 p.m. to midnight, at the Marlborough Country Club. Susanne Morreale Leeber joined the MRCC staff as membership director in 1987, and has served as president and CEO since 1991. She appreciates the chamber's rich and ongoing history as an advocate for the region's business community. "The chamber was originally the Board of Trade in 1924," she explained. "Back then, the mayor told people at a big meeting that he wanted more support for the business community, so the Board of Trade filed its paperwork as the Chamber of Commerce."
