Companies partner to help local food insecurity 

Shrewsbury - Smithfield Foods’ Helping Hungry Homes® initiative, a program focused on alleviating hunger and helping Americans become more food secure, joined forces with Shaw’s on Aug. 8 to donate more than 40,000 pounds of protein to the Worcester County Food Bank (WCFB).

Independent agency provides full range of insurance services

“The agency was started in 1932 by my grandfather in a building my great-grandfather built in downtown Framingham. In June 2015, we moved from Framingham to Southborough,” said Christopher Fitts, president of the family firm. “My father was president, before moving to chairman. The agency is now run by myself, my brother Tim, and my two cousins, George and Bruce Hulme. Tim and George do most our commercial lines, and Bruce does all our life, health and financial services work.”
