Hudson - Hudson Junior Girl Scout Troop 72739 recently earned their Bronze Award, the highest award achievable by Junior Girl Scouts. To earn the award, the girls each completed at least 20 hours of service to refurbish the gardens and park structures at Tripps Pond, located on Green Street. The girls weeded the garden beds, planted additional perennials, trimmed trees, raked lawns and picked up trash. They also sanded and stained all the picnic tables, as well as several wooden park benches.

Avidia Bank to add Financial Center in Hudson

Hudson - Avidia Bank has announced the expansion of its service delivery in Hudson. In early July, the bank will begin renovations to the 17 Pope Street location that will be vacated by Citizens Bank June 30. The Financial Center will include commercial banking, residential lending, financial services and retail banking. In addition, the bank will have a shared community room for local organizations to schedule events and meetings.
