Marlborough - The Friends of the Marlborough Public Library and the Assabet Valley Camera Club (AVCC) are gearing up for their 17th annual photography show. Area photographers who would like to participate may submit two photographs in black and white or color. All photos must be framed and/or matted and equipped with wire suitable for display hanging. Also, each photo must have a label affixed to the back showing the title, name of artist, address, phone number and purchase price if for sale. If sold, 15 percent of the purchase price will go to the Friends.

On Monday, April 16, she will hit the pavement again, running alongside 28 other teammates from the "Alzheimer's Association Run for the Memory" in the 113th Boston Marathon.

Hudson runner with late start to sport inspires as head coach

Hudson - James Martin didn's run track or cross-country or do other sports in high school. It wasn's until his sophomore year at Lasell College that the Hudson resident was egged into running for the school's cross-country team by his roommate. Martin laced up his shoes and completed his first race in just over 38 minutes for five miles. He was instantly hooked and turned into a successful athlete and team leader. After college, he helped start a Boston-area trail running club, joined the International Sky Running Federation (ISF), and he's now Lasell's head cross-country coach. Thinking back on his start to running, Martin remembers cringing when he found out how long the race was. But that all changed

Shrewsbury - Keeley McInerney Zona 11, has been dancing since she learned how to walk. Her mother, Mary ("Mary Mac"), was the owner of the McInerney School of Irish Step Dance in Worcester and it was there that her young daughter learned to dance. Sadly, Mary Mac succumbed to breast cancer in 2009, leaving her daughter with a legacy and a passion for Irish Step Dance.
