Eleanor B. D”Errico, 84Shrewsbury – Eleanor B. (Grandone) D”Errico, 84, died unexpectedly Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 in St. Vincent Hospital, with her family around her. Her husband, Michael A. D”Errico, died in 1983.

She is survived by two sons, Michael D”Errico and his wife Joanne of Shrewsbury and and Joel M. D”Errico, also of Shrewsbury, with whom she lived: two grandsons, Michael D”Errico of Shrewsbury and Andrew D”Errico and his wife Shannon of Las Vegas; and two great-grandchildren, Massimo and Gianni. She also leaves two sisters, Lillian Collinino and Mildred Faford, both of Worcester; a step-brother, Michael Grandone and his wife Sandra of Worcester; and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Rocco.

Born in Shrewsbury, daughter of the late Michael and Bertha (Raboin) Grandone, she was a graduate of Commerce High School and had lived in Shrewsbury most of her life.

Mrs. D”Errico worked at the Data General Corporation and also worked many years at Spag's. She retired from the Shrewsbury School Department, where she worked for many years at the Shrewsbury Middle School in the cafeteria.

She was a longtime member of the Church of St. Anne, and also was a member of the East Side Post #201 Women's Auxiliary. She loved going to the Rhode Island beaches, and enjoyed cooking. She also enjoyed a good day at the casino! But, she really enjoyed being with her family. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 9, from the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation St., Worcester, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of St. Anne, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Interment with her husband will be at the Mountain View Cemetery of Shrewsbury.
