David F. Greenwood, 67Hudson – David F. Greenwood, 67, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2012 at his residence in Hudson.

Born in Marlborough and raised in Hudson, he was the son of the late Joseph and Jeannette (Roberts) Greenwood. He was a lifelong resident of Hudson and attended Saint Michael's School in Hudson.

Mr. Greenwood was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts District Courts in Marlborough for a short time and later in Ayer for 40-plus years as a building supervisor until retiring in 2011.

He was a former member of the Hudson Auxiliary Fire Department and a former photographer with the Fire Department. He was an avid collector of many items of interest to him and, most of all, model trains, which he enjoyed building and erecting for many years.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Greenwood of Leominster, and his son, Robert Greenwood of North Woodstock, N.H. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his two children, Joanne M. (Custeau) Greenwood of Hudson, and was the brother of the late Thomas Greenwood.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 10:30 a.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery of Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, Feb. 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
