Westborough – Police Chief Alan Gordon released this statement this morning:
On 8/4/12, the Westborough Police Department received a report of a stolen 2011 Hyundai Elantra from a residence on Thomas Newton Dr.
On 8/9/12, the Westborough Police Department received a call at 12:20 AM, reporting that a second vehicle had just been stolen from the same residence. This vehicle was a 2005 Honda Pilot.
Off. Caleb Polseno observed this vehicle at the intersection of E. Main St. and Thomas Newton Dr. He stopped the vehicle and along with Off. Joshua Croft placed two 16 year old juveniles in custody. One juvenile is from Westborough and the other is from Millbury.
At the location where the Honda was taken from, Off. Polseno located the Hyundai Elantra that was stolen on 8/4. Off. Polseno located the key to this vehicle in the pocket of the juvenile from Westborough.
Also in the vehicle were three stolen GPS devices and alcoholic beverages.
Both juveniles were charged with using a motor vehicle without authority 2 counts, receiving stolen property under $250 2 counts, receiving stolen property over $250, and being a minor in possession of alcoholic beverages. The juvenile from Westborough was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
They were released to their parents and will be arraigned in Worcester Juvenile Court.
