Northborough – The Algonquin Regional High School Tomahawks hosted the Westborough High School Rangers for the two teams” traditional Thanksgiving Day football game Nov. ?28.

With both teams 2-8 coming into the game the outcome was a toss-up. ?Westborough's Scott Erickson scored first on a seven-yard run (point-after kick by Jack Chuma) for the only scoring in the first quarter. ?The Rangers scored again in the second quarter on a Mike Power eight-yard pass from Dan Orlando (point-after kick by Chuma). ?The Tomahawks’ Ben Jachowicz scored on a ten-yard pass from Tim Keville (point-after kick by Jachowicz) but the Rangers scored again on a twenty-eight yard pass from Orlando to Michael Heffernan (point-after kick by Chuma) for a 14-7 Westborough lead at the half.

In the third quarter the Rangers’ Chuma kicked a forty-two yard field goal and the Westborough's ?Erickson ran it in from the five-yard line (point-after kick by Chuma) to make it 31-7. That was the final score as neither team scored in the fourth quarter.
