School: Saint John’s High School, class of 2016

    Sport: Football

    Position: Wide receiver

Notable stats: Racked up 134 receiving yards as a junior last season.

What are your earliest football-related memories?

“My earliest football related memories go back to third grade when I played for the Quabbin Bulldogs SAFL team. I remember showing up to Roach Field for the first day of practice with my dad and not wanting to play because I was so nervous. He eventually convinced me to give it a try and I’m glad he did because after that first day I was hooked.”

Was your father the individual who most encouraged you to stick with the sport, and succeed at it?

“Yes, my dad has always encouraged me to stick with football. He played back in high school and he understands the life lessons, friendships, and memories that football helps create.”

What has it been like to play for such a historic program like Saint John’s?

“Playing football for Saint John’s is an honor. When I was younger, I would watch Saint John’s play Wachusett, and I was always impressed with the skill Saint John’s had. It made me want to be a part of the program. Now that I am starting my senior year, I can say that playing for Saint John’s is very demanding, but also very rewarding.”

What has been the single most-special game of your young football career?

“The most special game of my career was during 8th grade with the Quabbin Bulldogs. It was a playoff game against Belchertown and I returned a kickoff for a touchdown which led us to a win. It was the best moment of my football career so far.”

What do you hope to accomplish during your senior season?

“I am hoping for a State Championship this year and I know my teammates have the same mindset. We have all worked very hard and we are going to do everything we can to make it happen.”

What is your favorite class in school?

“My favorite class in school would have to be Morality. It is the only class I have ever had that forces you to think about, and take a standpoint, on important moral issues that are present in the modern world.”

What is your favorite type of music, and artist in that genre?

“I like exploring many different artists and genres.”

What are your hobbies outside of football?

“Outside of school, I am a freestyle skier. I have been skiing since I was two years old and it has always been a very important part of my life. During the winter, I practice new tricks about five days a week at Wachusett Mountain and Cannon Mountain. I also love to fish, water ski, mountain bike, and play music with my dad and my two brothers.”

Who are your favorite NFL team and player?

“My favorite team is the Patriots and my favorite player is Julian Edelman.”
