Shrewsbury – Dorothy S. (Levansavich) Sinkus, 92, of Shrewsbury, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016 in Life Care Center of Auburn. Her husband, Albert C. Sinkus, died in 1997.
She leaves a brother, Richard Levansavich and his wife Donna of Auburn; a nephew; and many nieces and grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Leo Levansavich.
Dorothy was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of the late Walter A. and Sophie (Ostromecky) Levansavich. She graduated from Commerce High School.
Dorothy had worked as a secretary for United Steel and Wire in Worcester for many years before they closed. She was very active in the Shrewsbury Housing Community of 36 North Quinsigamond Ave., and she was a member of St. Anne’s Parish.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Dorothy’s family Saturday Nov. 12, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., in the Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury. Her funeral will be from the funeral home, with a funeral Mass celebrated at 11 a.m. in Saint Anne’s Church, 130 Boston Tpke., Shrewsbury. Burial will be private.
