Jean A. Gordon ConwayWestborough – Jean A. (Richer) Gordon Conway, retired LPN and longtime Westborough resident, passed away peacefully Jan. 7, 2019 at the age of 89.

Jean was born and raised Marlborough, a daughter to the late Armand and Gladys (Blanchette) Richer.

After earning her LPN from the former Westborough State Hospital School of Nursing, Jean worked in Marlborough Hospital’s nursery; Jean loved babies!

Jean was a longtime member of St. Bernadette Parish and a past member of its choir. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, listening to music and playing the piano. A testament to her love of children, Jean spent many volunteer hours reading to young patients at UMass Medical. She loved a good book- as long as it was non-fiction. Jean loved to collect dolls and enjoyed time with her family.

Among Jean’s survivors are her three children, retired chief of police Alan R. Gordon and his wife Karen of Westborough, Karen A. Boehnke and her husband Paul of Shrewsbury, and Lynne E. Johnson and her husband Bennett of South Weymouth; five beloved grandchildren, Scott, Joel, Alana, and Corrie Gordon, Nathan Johnson; 12 great-grandchildren, all whom she adored; and a sister, Helene Mutti of Hudson. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Gordon; her second husband, James Conway; and her precious granddaughter, Melissa E. Foss.

Calling hours will be held Monday, Jan. 14, from 8:45-10:30 a.m., at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. from St. Bernadette Parish, 266 Main St., Northborough.
